PRESS: Seufert focuses on Sustainability and Energy Efficiency

Seufert Gesellschaft für transparente Verpackungen mbH is fully aware of its responsibility to the environment and future generations. As a specialist in plastic packaging, the company relies on innovative solutions that meet the demands of modern industry while aligning with the growing emphasis on sustainability. In this context, Seufert produces retail packaging made from post-consumer recycled materials – materials that have already been used in consumer goods and subsequently recycled. These environmentally friendly PET solutions offer the same quality as virgin plastics and are fully “ready” for the circular economy.

Focus on energy efficiency: photovoltaics and energy modernization

In response to the increasingly urgent global conversation about climate protection, Seufert has already installed a modern photovoltaic system on the roofs of its production facilities in recent years. This system harnesses solar energy to cover a significant portion of the company’s energy needs. Currently, it supplies a large share of the required energy from renewable sources, significantly reducing the company’s carbon footprint. This step demonstrates that sustainability and industrial production can go hand in hand.

But Seufert is going even further. The second milestone is a comprehensive energy-efficient roof and building modernization of its two production halls, which was recently completed. This initiative, representing a substantial investment in the future, aims to significantly reduce the energy required for climate control and temperature regulation of the facilities. The modernization is expected to cut annual energy consumption by approximately 32%.

These extensive investments in energy efficiency and sustainability are a clear commitment by the company to its responsibility towards the environment and society.

"Sustainability is possible even with plastic packaging!"

With this motto, Seufert demonstrates that innovative packaging solutions and environmental responsibility are not mutually exclusive, but can jointly contribute to solving global challenges.
