PRESS RELEASE: Seufert wins the Innovation Showcase Award at the Packaging Innovations 2019 in London.

Paul Macdonald hands over the Innovation Showcase Award for the sustainable PET Blue Ocean to Seufert CEO Thomas Pfaff.

Seufert has won the Innovation Showcase at Packaging Innovations 2019 in London with its innovative PET Blue Ocean packaging material. The plastics expert offers tailor-made transparent packaging and — with this bluish material, which has up to 100% recycled content in its centre layer — makes sustainable packaging solutions possible. All exhibitors at Packaging Innovations 2019 in London were able to present their latest innovations in the Online Innovation Gallery before the start of the fair. The best innovations were nominated from all of the entries, including the PET Blue Ocean packaging material from the Seufert Transparent Packaging company. With the help of ThePackHub, Women in Packaging and Packaging News, the top 12 for the Innovation Showcase were chosen at Packaging Innovations! Seufert — with its PET Blue Ocean sustainable alternative, a bluish material with up to 100% recycled content in the centre layer of its polyester material — was awarded the Innovation Showcase Award, proving that the plastics expert is on the right track. Recycling is not only a big topic in society, but also for the Seufert company, so the joy about the award was all the greater. In London, Seufert CEO Thomas Pfaff accepted the award in person from Paul MacDonald, Easyfairs’ Global Brand Director – Packaging. “Together with our foil manufacturer, we’ve developed packaging solutions that consist of up to 100% recycled materials, whether from industrial or post-consumer recycled material from bottle waste, in order to make an increased contribution of our own to the recycling economy. That we’re on the right track was confirmed to us at Packaging Innovation in London, where we received the packaging award for our sustainable PET Blue Ocean material”, said Thomas Pfaff after the fair with pride.
