With the PackTheFuture Award, which was launched in 2014, the two associations IK and Elipso want to promote innovative and sustainable plastic packaging and put their sustainable properties in the spotlight.
The award-winning packaging must be measured against various criteria, including, for example, the use of recycled or bio-based materials, reusability and recyclability, and the use of innovative technologies that help to further reduce the environmental impact of plastic packaging.
However, the PackTheFuture Award is not only an award for sustainable packaging innovations, but also a symbol of cooperation and exchange between different European countries.
This year, Seufert transparente Verpackungen mbH took part in the "sustainable packaging" category with packaging from the well-known stationery manufacturer STABILO International GmbH. The highlighter packaging is made from recycled Eco-R-PET material, a PET film made from 100% bottle waste.
